How to Play Music-Star: Your Game, Your Rules (But These Are Pretty Fun Too!)<\/strong><\/p>\n

You can play Music-Star in all kinds of ways. Here are three of our favorites\u2014plus, you\u2019re welcome to invent your own. Just promise us one thing: have fun and sing loudly (even off-key is allowed)!<\/p>\n

\ud83c\udfb2\u00a0Yahtzee Style \u2013 Slow and Steady Wins the Notes<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Appoint a quizmaster (a.k.a. Master of Music & Mischief). They don\u2019t play but scan the cards and come up with sneaky bonus questions.<\/li>\n
  2. Everyone writes their name on a score sheet. Yes, legibly please\u2014we\u2019re not decoding doctor\u2019s handwriting.<\/li>\n
  3. One by one, players pick a card and hand it to the quizmaster.<\/li>\n
  4. The quizmaster reads out the number on the card. Everyone writes that number in the matching box on their score sheet.<\/li>\n
  5. The quizmaster scans the QR code and plays the music. Time to tune in!<\/li>\n
  6. Each player writes down the\u00a0artist<\/em>,\u00a0song title<\/em>, and\u00a0release year<\/em>.<\/li>\n
  7. The quizmaster decides if they want to throw in a bonus question\u2014completely up to their mood or mischief level.<\/li>\n
  8. At the end of the game, tally your points. One point per correct answer. Max of 4 points per round if you nail the bonus too!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    \ud83d\udd14\u00a0The Bell Game \u2013 Quickest Thinker, Loudest Dinger<\/strong><\/p>\n

    1. Appoint your loyal quizmaster again\u2014scanning cards, reading questions, and ruling with (mostly) fairness.<\/li>\n
    2. Everyone writes their name on a score sheet.<\/li>\n
    3. Each player takes a turn picking a card and handing it to the quizmaster.<\/li>\n
    4. The quizmaster reads out the card number, and everyone writes it down.<\/li>\n
    5. QR code gets scanned, the music starts\u2026 and so does the tension.<\/li>\n
    6. Each round has three mini-questions: artist, song title, and release year. Bonus question? Maybe.<\/li>\n
    7. Think you know the answer? Smash that bell (gently, please). First to ding gets to answer. If you\u2019re right, you score the point\u2014and nobody else does. No pressure!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      2. Divide the group into two (or more) teams.<\/li>\n
      3. Each team writes its name on one score sheet. Bonus points for creative names like \u201cABBA-solutely Fabulous\u201d or \u201cThe Rolling Clones\u201d.<\/li>\n
      4. Teams take turns drawing cards and handing them over to the quizmaster.<\/li>\n
      5. The quizmaster reads the number, and teams jot it down.<\/li>\n
      6. QR code is scanned, and it\u2019s music time!<\/li>\n
      7. From here, you can play using\u00a0Yahtzee Style<\/strong>\u00a0or\u00a0Bell Game<\/strong>\u00a0rules\u2014team edition!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
